Mijn reis in de culinaire wereld begon als à la carte kok in Ede. Na het afronden van een leermeestercursus, stuitte ik op Vermaat. Na het solliciteren ben ik gestart bij een locatie in Amsterdam. Hier heb ik 1,5 jaar met plezier gewerkt, waar ik mijn eigen menu's creëerde, personeel selecteerde en een sterke band met gasten opbouwde.
Patisserie Wils Bakery Café
Ik ben Laura Basten, momenteel werkzaam als patisserie bij Wils Bakery Café. Maar voorafgaand aan deze culinaire reis, was ik actief als kapper en visagist op filmsets. Mijn avontuur in de horeca begon met het aankloppen bij verschillende zaken.
Chef Rijks
Mijn reis bij Vermaat begon als Sous Chef bij het geweldige restaurant RIJKS. Het was hier dat ik mijn passie voor de culinaire wereld en innovatie kon aanscherpen. Na een periode van hard werken onder leiding van Chef Kok Joris Bijdendijk, besloten we samen het avontuur aan te gaan oftewel WILS.
In 1978 begonnen als delicatessenwinkel. Nu uitgegroeid tot dé specialist in horeca op maat en daarbij één van de grootste horecawerkgevers van Nederland met 500+ door het hele land.
